Summary

Thomas L. Friedman makes his point on how the world became flat. He started the chapter with his visit to Bangalore where he had an exposure and could see big American Firms like HP, Microsoft, etc over there. Friedman met an Indian engineer named Nandan Nilekani that is the heart of his story on the world is flat. The conversation he had with him was very influential. Nandan Nilekani showed Friedman how globalization and technology developed quickly. He showed him how india and other developing countries are now on par with America in many fields.
Friedman talks about how world has flattened in many areas. He even mentions the military and how technology has flattened it. He gives and example on how officers and enlisted military personnel are now having access to technology and can make decisions and manage many things remotely.
We are going into a time where everything is digitalized. Many of people have access to these technologies. If the world will continue to flatten we will have to keep adjusting our selves to that change.
